Jackson graduated from GSB in June 2024. With his experience in startups and curiosity about the wellness space, he decided to found Dean Street Wellness. Dean Street Wellness is building a platform of integrative wellness clinics with the goal of advancing US healthcare towards a more holistic, functional model. Since graduating he has also moved back to NYC, married his college sweetheart, and is rediscovering all that NYC has to offer!
What is your favorite moment or event from your time as an active Scholar?
I loved the conference (and Aspen Seminars), which for me fell in between my first and second years in the program. I already knew the Scholars in my cohort, so it was nice to deepen those relationships, and I got to meet the previous cohort too. The structured time to reflect and recharge, the beautiful scenery, and the thoughtful programming were special.
Do you have any advice you would give to your fellow Scholars?
Take advantage of everything the program offers! Structured programming is great, but the casual stuff is some of the most enjoyable and memorable. Samvid Scholars host small group dinners near campus a few times a year, and there are ad hoc meetups periodically as well. I’m glad I made time, whenever possible, to engage when the opportunity arose.
As you plan for the year ahead, what are your goals?
Other than getting my company off to a good start, I’d like to feed my curiosity and learn everything I can about the wellness and anti-aging industries; continue meeting interesting people by cold emailing people I admire, something I’ve done for the past 10 years and plan to continue; learn fingerstyle guitar; and meditate enough to sleep 8 hours in a night, something I haven’t been able to do for as long as I can remember.
