Geo Saba

Geo Saba is returning to Stanford University as a JD Candidate at Stanford Law School and an MBA Candidate at the Stanford Graduate School of Business. In 2015, he earned his BA from Stanford University with honors in International Security Studies where he was on the varsity baseball team, graduated Phi Beta Kappa, and was a research assistant for former Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice. He then earned his MPhil in International Relations and Politics at Cambridge University as a Gates Cambridge Scholar.
Geo was previously Chief of Staff for Congressman Ro Khanna. Before that, he was the Congressman’s legislative director and national security advisor. As Chief of Staff, Geo oversaw the 17-person office and managed a $2 million budget for the office. The office won the Congressional Management Foundation’s Best Workplace in Congress award. Geo represented the congressman overseas on numerous delegations and helped him pass six bills into law. Most notably, he helped spearhead the congressman’s work on the Yemen War Powers Resolution and Chips and Science Act. Geo also has looked to find ways to work across the aisle, including penning an op-ed in Newsweek about how he lived with Republican leadership staffers on the Hill despite being a Democrat’s Chief of Staff.
Geo is a Council on Foreign Relations Term Member, was an Aspen Strategy Group Rising Leader, Schmidt Futures ISF Fellow, CNAS Next Gen Fellow, New America MENA Next Generation Leader, on the CSIS National Security & Foreign Affairs Top 50 Leadership List, and a Middle East Policy Council 40 Under 40 awardee.
Geo grew up in San Mateo, California. He is of Lebanese and Azorean ancestry and enjoys traveling, reading, playing chess, and playing sports. In high school, he participated in competitive eating competitions but has since retired.
