Arman Koul is a current MD candidate at the Stanford School of Medicine and an incoming MBA candidate at the Stanford Graduate School of Business. Arman graduated from Johns Hopkins University, where he was a student-athlete on the varsity football team. He earned a ca degrees in Biomedical Engineering and Applied Math, as well as a Master’s in Biomedical Engineering. His work centers on the thoughtful development and deployment of AI technologies for the patients and communities that need them most across academic, nonprofit, and private-sector settings.

His early professional career focused on expanding access to best-in-class care through technology. He was the sixth employee and Head of Data at Ostro Health, where he built AI-driven health education products that reached millions of patients and clinicians worldwide. Along with this, he consulted for, advised, and invested in numerous health technology and biotechnology companies.

At Stanford, his work has moved closer to the bedside, with a focus on deploying AI in time sensitive, resource constrained, and high acuity scenarios with direct patient impact. He is developing and piloting AI-driven interventional cancer care models across academic and rural settings. During his MBA and beyond, he hopes to expand this work across cancer and acute care, ultimately becoming a physician-innovator who builds solutions to real problems faced by patients and clinicians worldwide.

A member of the displaced Kashmiri Pandit community, Arman has been deeply shaped by his upbringing and family history. In his free time, he enjoys playing pickup basketball, treating his injuries from pickup basketball, camping, hiking reading, making music with his brother, cooking, and starting the New York Times crossword puzzle.
